CONSIDERED LOST
Famous British Submarine (6.30 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 10. The Admiralty announces tbnt the Utmost, one of the most famous British submarines, is overdue and must be considered lost. By Marcli, 1942, the Utmost had accounted for 69,000 tons of Axis shipping. Her successes include an Italian cruiser. The Utmost was launched in April. 1940, and was formerly commanded by Commander R. D. Cayley. D.S.O. Lieutenant Coombe assumed command of the Utmost last August.
