FUNERAL OF MARINES
Recent Shooting Tragedy (N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 9. The funeral took place this morning at the soldiers’ cemetery, Karori, of the two United States marines who were the victims of the recent shooting tragedy in Wellington. All branches of the United States forces were represented, and over a hundred of all ranks were present. Captain Lumkin, padre of the United States Marine Corps, officiated at the funeral, which was a military one, concluding with the customary volleys from a firing party.
