MEETING AGREED TO
Giraud And de Gaulle
'7.30 p.m.) LONDON. Jan. 7 The Press Association's diplomatic correpondent says it i.s learned from Fighting French circles that General Giraud has agreed in principle to the meeting on French soil which General De Gaulle proposed, but expressed a desire to have the meeting delayed until the end of January. Fighting French opinion still supports De Gaulle’s view that the situation in France and the genera! situation of the war do not permit of any delay.
General Catroux, a member of the Council of Defence of the French Empire, arrived from Syria to confer willi General De Gaulle.
