GERALDINE RIVER POOLS POPULAR
Domain Baths Well Patronised The best New Year weather for a number of years was experienced at Geraldine for the holidays and exceptionally high temperatures were recorded. The bathing pools in the river and the Domain swimming baths were exceptionally well patronised. The motor camp has had several camping parties throughout the holiday period and the camping grounds at Te Moana, Waihi Gorge and Peel Forest have attracted a large number of visitors. PERSONAL Mr J. D. McKechnie. who has been visiting North Auckland, accompanied by his daughter. Mrs B. R. Hansen. Ohakune Junction, is the guest of Mr D. C. McKechnie. Miss Dora Maister, Wellington, is visiting Geraldine. Mrs A. Rustbatch, St. Kilda, who has been visiting Mrs A. Sherratt, Geraldine, has returned home. The Town Clerk, Mr E. R. Hopwood, has returned from Ashburton. Mrs J. Maxwell and Miss E. Bette, Dunedin, who have been visiting Geraldine, have returned south.
