SPYING IN MEXICO
Many .Japanese Agents (10.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON. Jan.-2. Betty Kirk, writing in the magazine, “Inter-American.” asserts that several thousand highly-trained Japanese agents, taking advantage of racial resemblance to Mexican Indians, are spying and sabotaging in Mexico. She adds that the Government know’s the land is honeycombed with Japanese agents, many belonging exclusively to the Japanese highly-organised Mexico Military Servicemen’s Association. Miss Kirk says that the Japanese wireless boat movements to waiting submarines either in the Pacific or the Gulf coasts and also sabotage ships or ports where there is fuel.
