MALTA ATTACKED
Italian Fighters Destroyed (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, June 11 This evening a small force of enemy aircraft crossed Malta. Flying high they were engaged by heavy anti-air-craft guns. Royal Air Force fighters destroyed two Italian fighters and damaged others. One British fighter crashed into the sea, but the pilot is safe
