NO AGREEMENT
WOOLLEN MILLS DISPUTE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Mar. 4. No agreement was reached in conciliation proceedings on the application by the New Zealand Federated Woollen Mills and Hosiery Factories Employees’ Association for a new award. The hours of work as well as some of the minor clauses were agreed on in terms of the existing award, but the main clauses of the application will come before the Court of Arbitration. The increases in pay sought ranged from 2d to 3d an hour. The employers’ counter-proposals were for a renewal of the existing award.
