GISBORNE CITIZENS
MESSAGE TO MR CHURCHILL (P.A.) GISBORNE, January 29. The following cablegram has been sent to Mr Churchill »-y the Mayor of Gisborne (Mr N. H. Bull): —“The citizens of Gisborne desire to express their unbounded admiration of your inspiring leadership and their utmost confidence in your ability to lead the Empire to victory.” Mr Bull explained that the message was the outcome of representations made to him by a substantial body of citizens, who felt that it was pot out of place for even a small and remote town like Gisborne to express its confidence in Mr Churchill’s leadership, and considered that New Zealanders should dissociate themselves from the critical attitude of Australia. x m g, v.atxi oinh u care for spotles. it; silvery jaauty, an asset to your home, the Meri stainless metal sink (patenteu) inning new friends every day.
