LONDON, July 28. One of Britain’s latest submarine: has returned to port after bagging 17 enemy vessels ranging, from Supply ships to caiques in two Mediterranean patrols, as recently announced ih com--lUThe commander narrated an incident before the sinking of thfe last ship from one German cqnvoy. “I ordered the German crew to the boats under a threat to file, but T had to staid a boarding party to rout them off. A German tried to throw a hand grenade as my men clambered over the ship’s side, but he Was shot before it left his hand. Another Nazi tried, to kill my number ohe by rifle fire. He went the same way. W« then continued our patrol.”
