Rev. E. H. Newman, vicar of Ahaura, has accepted the charge of the Cheviot parish. Mr John Farrell, representing J. C. Williamson Theatres, Ltd., is visiting Timaru.
Advice has been received by Mr and Mrs J. J. Heasiey, Nelson Terrace, that their son, SecondLieutenant J. G. Heasiey, has been wounded.
Advice has been received that Privates I. W. Calder (Maungati), J. Robinson, J. Sadler (both of Gleniti) and N. Laws (Timaru) are safe and well.
