CHURCH BAZAAR A church bazaar in aid of the funds of the Anglican Church was held in the local hall. The stallholders were: Produce, Mrs W. Black and Mrs J. Talbot; cakes, Mrs W. Butchers, Mrs H. Arden and Miss M. Kingston; variety, Mrs H. Caldwell and Mrs H. Anderson; sweets, Misses E. and J. Arden and D. Caldwell. Dancing items were given at intervals, and competitions were held during the afternoon, the winners being Mr Mercer, Mrs H. I. Hopkins, Mrs J. Godwin, Mr R. Jackson, Mr W. Boal, Miss J. Arden, Mrs R. Jackson, Mr D. Tavendale, Mr D. Atken. A dance was held during the evening, which was well supported. Mr H. Arden was M.C.
