CARD TRICK

This trick, known as the three-pile :ard trick, Is most interesting. Take 37 cards; ask someone to think of 'one; then count out the cards, face upwards into three piles of nine each, asking whoever has selected the card to note into which pile his card goes. Now put the piles one on top of another, placing the one named In the middle; and deal out as before. Again ask your friend which pile his card is IK; again place It in the middle; and again deal the cards Into three. This third time when he namee a pile his Card will be the middle card of that pile. The reason is easily demonstrated. You deal the cards Into three piles of nine.
