Stoppage Of Cook’s Parcel Service (P.A.) WELLINGTON. May 7. The practice adopted by Thos. Cook and Son of dispatching parcels to prisoners of war in enemy and enemy occupied countries has been stopped according to advice received by Thos. Cook and Son from their London office. The communication stated that all further inquiries regarding the sending of parcels should be addressed to the British Red Cross Society, care of the Lord Chamberlain’s Office, St. James Palace, London, S.W.I. A representative of Thos Cook and Son’s in Wellington said to-day it was presumed that inquiries in New Zealand should be addressed to the New Zealand Red Cross Society, Wellington. The information had been handed on to the postal authorities with a request that post offices in the Dominion be advised of the position.
