Milling Wheat Shipments POTATOES COMING FORWARD Odd lines of milling wheat are still coming on to the market and are being accepted for shipment to the North Island. May prices are: Tuscan 5/8, Hunters 5/10, and Velvet 6/- a bushel. Oats There is still no indication of the prices to be fixed for Garton oats. There is Very little inquiry for Duns and the prices remain at 2/9 to 3/3 a bushel according to quality. Algerians are slow of sale at 2/9 a bushel on trucks. Barley Nominal quotations for barley are as follows: Malting, contracts 4/71 a bushel ex stack, feed barley 3/9 and Cape barley 3/6 a bushel. Potatoes Th. market at present is well supplied and lines are coming forward very freely. Nominal quotations remain at £7/10/- a ton on trucks. White clover remains the principal line of interest, and other varieties of seed have been more or less neglected.There will probably be a further demand for ryegrass as shipping space becomes available.
