TIMARU BRANCH At the monthly meeting of the Timaru branch of the Plunket Society, Mrs L. M. Inglis presided over an attendance of 19 members. The nurses’ report stated that there had been 31 new cases for the month and visits had been as follows: Home visits, headquarters 183, outstations 48; office visits, headquarters 1082, outstations 238; telephone calls 71: car mileage 313. Circulars were received stating that the Government had agreed to increase the subsidy on nurses’ salaries by 5 per cent and increase the car grant to £2O. The secretary was instructed to write to Mrs Burns, the new representative at Gordon’s Valley, thanking her for her work in collecting. A letter is also to be sent to Mrs J. T. O. Stephens, a member of the committee, who has been ill.
