FINAL WARNING

Minister Looking For Food Cheats

(Rec. 8.10 p.m.) LONDON, May 7. The Minister of Food (Lord Woolton) in a speech, warned food gamblers that he was on their tails and intended to get to closer quarters with the five per cent, of the population which was not doing its best to observe the regulations and thinking itself bright and clever. He had received thousands of letters about these cheats. He wished the women of Britain to band together and refuse to deal with them. Women could not expect the Government vo do everything. They must work through churches and other organisations. “I am watching these people. This is their final warning.”
