Eastern Tasman Sea—Fresh but decreasing southerly winds In the northern portion with seas becoming moderate; moderate to fresh northerly winds In the south with moderate but rising seas. Weather—Cloud increasing In Westland with scattered drizzle or rain developing from the south; elsewhere fair to line with rising temperatures. The maximum temperature was 49 degrees and the minimum 30. The glass was rising last evening. Thirtyseven points of rain were registered on Wednesday evening. Dunedin: Bright sunshine prevailed yesterday. There was an almost complete absence of winds and the maximum temperature was 65 degrees. The barometer remained high, the 6 pm. reading being 30.32 inches (1027 millibars).
