Wardress Surprises Night Eruption Pays Big Dividend ay telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, January 18. The summer meeting of the Wellington Racing Club was continued at Trentham to-day in fine but sultry weather. There was a very large attendance. The totallsator handled £93,773, compared with £102,803/10/-, on the corresponding day last year. An inquiry Into Interference In the running of the Telegraph Handicap on the first day resulted in R. Howell, rider of Rakahanga, being adjudged guilty of careless riding and suspended for two months. An inquiry into interference to Gayest Son in the Anniversary Handicap on the first day resulted in A. Midwood, rider of White Rajah, being found guilty of careless riding and he was suspended for one month.
