ACCUSED REMANDED
ALLEGED ATTEMPT TO MURDER By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, November 26. William Meehan, aged 42, was charged with, at Oamaru on October 13, having attempted to murder Harry Frederick McAuley, and was remanded to appear at Oamaru on December 10 The charge arises out of an alleged shooting affray when a meeting of Jehovah’s Witnesses was being conducted. It is alleged that one member of the sect was shot and another wounded by a bayonet.
