Seas —Slight to moderate. DOMINION FORECAST General Situation An anti-cyclone Iles centrally over the Dominion while a weak depression covers the central and western Tasman Sea. Forecast Winds—Light to moderate and variable with northerlies gradually predominating. Seas (New Zealand waters)—Slight or moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea—Moderate northerly winds and moderate seas. Weather —Fair to fine and milder over most of the country; cloud gradually increasing in western districts from Nelson northwards with scattered drizzle probably developing in Taranaki and North Auckland after about 25 hours. Dunedin: Brilliant midsummer weather was experienced with sunshine from sunrise to sunset, a total of more than 15 hours for the day. A light to moderate north-east breeze prevailed and temperatures were mild, the maximum being 69 degrees. The barometer rose to 30.28 Inches (1025 millibars).
