"BULLDOG DRUMMOND'S REVENGE ” The murder of an eminent British scientist who has just invented the world’s most powerful explosive provides John Howard with a mystery in “Bulldog Drummond's Revenge,” which opens at the Theatre Royal to-night, in which he plays the title role. Although the lives of all are in constant danger because the murderer carries with him a suitcase of “Haxonite," the super-explosive which he has stolen from his victim, Howard plunges forward into the pursuit, and with the help of John Barrymore, of Scotland Yard, comers his man and saves England’s military secret. In the supporting cast are Reginald Denny, Louise Campbell and E. E. Clive. In the recent poll, Jane Withers rode right in the middle of the top-notch ten . . . and when she comes to the Theatre Royal to-night in “Rascals,” the reason is self evident. The amazing Miss Withers cavorts through the picture with Borrah Mlnevltch as her principal accomplice In the fun riot. She sings while Mlnevltch’s harmonica gang makes music, she times her lines and antics with the precision of a trouper . . . and tops her performance with dances.
