RIFLE SHOOTING
TIMARU DEFENCE CLUB On Saturday afternoon the Timaru Defence Rifle Club fired . the first round of the championship, the. conditions being 10 shots at 300 and 500 yards. There Was a‘ southerly wind blowing right up the range and at 300 yards the shooting was difficult, there being a number of 3‘s registered. At 500 yards the shooting was much better. The scores were:—
