SHUNTER KILLED RUN OVER BY LOCOMOTIVE By Telegraph—Press Association WANGANUI, November 23. While engaged in shunting operations at Marton Junction railway yards, John Frederick Crocker, a portershunter, was run over by a locomotive and had his left leg severed between the knee and the ankle. Crocker, who is a married man with five children, was riding on a waggon, when he stepped off in the path of a freight train coming in from Wanganui. He was struck by the locomotive, and the wheels passed over the left leg. There is always someone with something to sell, and someone who wants to huy—advertise.
