MR CHURCHILL
INVITATION TO VISIT NEW ZEALAND By Telegraph —Press Association WELLINGTON, November 23. It was suggested at last night’s reunion of the Wellington South African War Veterans’ Association that the British Prime Minister (Mr Churchill), who is himself a South African War veteran, be asked to visit New Zealand after the war. The Minister of Defence (the Hon. F. Jones), who was present, said that nothing would please him more. A motion was unanimously passed conveying Christmas greetings to Mr Churchill, his wife, and family, and expressing a hope that he would be spared to maintain the leadership of the nation until victory was attained. The meeting accepted the offer of Beau Vite’s owner (Mr Ralph Stewart), who is also a South African veteran, to defray the cost of cabling this message of greeting to Mr Churchill.
