ETON’S GRAND OLD MAN
It was revealed in London the other day that Mr Edward Litriet-'n Vaughan, of the Marches, Willowbrook, Eton, “Grand Old Man” of Eton and a master there from 18761913 and 1914-1919, left £14,367/3/3. He left all his property to his wife. He was hon. secretary of the Old Etonian Association and died last February, aged 89.
DAYLIGHT ROBBERY
Attacked by four men who jumped from a motor-car, Ernest Zundler and Robert Tidd were robbed of £250 soon after they had left the Arcadia Works of Carreras, in Hampstead Road North-West London, for a branch office. In the struggle the money was wrenched from the two men, who were knocked unconscious.
