SUPREME EFFORT NECESSARY
Year Of National Saving British Official Wireless (Received November 21, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, November 20. To-morrow completes the first year of the savings campaign organised under the chairmanship of Sir Robert Kindersley who hopes that the sum aimed at £475,000,000 will be achieved by to-morrow night. Sir Robert Kindersley said that a supreme effort is still necessary. Meanwhile Plymouth raised £1,064,439 during war weapons week, the National Savings Committee announced.
