Allowances To Dependents Of Soldiers By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, November 21. The Maintenance Orders Military Forces Emergency Regulations, 1940, which were gazetted to-night, automatically suspended orders against soldiers while they are with the armed forces. Under earlier regulations the State assumed liability for the maintenance of soldiers’ dependents, and the practical effect of the new regulation is that the army will pay allowances direct to dependents instead of through the medium of the courts.
