CRUSHED TO DEATH

ACCIDENT IN SHIP S HOLD By Telegraph Press Association AUCKLAND. November 20. While assizing to unload live shells from a vessel at the Navy Department’s wharf at 10 30 a.m. to-day, George Christie, aged 51. was killed. The shells, which were in square boxes, were being lifted by a crane and the police have been informed that Christie was crushed in the hold. Christie’s widow lives at 30 Lipton Street, Wanganui. He was a returned soldier apd served with the Ist New Zealand Cycle Company.
