OBITUARY
MR W. F. ABEL By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, November 19. The death occurred this morning of Mr William Fulton Abel, aged 64, for the last 11 years headmaster of the Musselburgh School. Mr Abel entered the teaching profession as a pupil teacher at the Arthur Street School in 1892, and throughout his career as a teacher remained under the Otago Education Board. Mr Abel was for many years secretary of the Otago branch of the New Zealand Educational Institute and was Dominion president in the year of the Institute’s jubilee Mr Abel was a keen bowler and supported the Kaituna Club, of which he was a past president. He Is survived by his wife, one son, who is a mining engineer on the Malay Peninsula and one daughter.
