Miss Joy Sherratt, Geraldine, has returned from a visit to Ashburton.
Mrs A. C. Middleton, Clarence Bridge, is on a visit to her mother Mrs Ruddenklau, Waimate.
Miss Valerie Reid, Sarah Street, will leave to-day to join the nursing staff of the New Plymouth Hospital.
Mrs J. C. Templer, Geraldine, will be a visitor to Christchurch this week for the Rangi-Ruru sports.
Mrs Guinness, “Galashiels,” Sefton Street, and Miss Marion Hay, “Beverley House,’’ Wai-iti Road, will leave to-day on a visit to Christchurch.
Mrs E. J. LeCren, Auckland, who has been staying with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr and Mrs F. Graham. Christchurch, will arrive to-morrow to stay with Mrs H. E. D. Willcox, Bidwill Street.'
The engagement is announced of Elsie Evelyne Hart, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs C. N. Bradley, Victoria Street, and Douglas Raymond, younger son of Mr and Mrs E. G. Eliot. Nelson Terrace.
In appreciation of her long and faithful service both to the hospital and to the district of North Taranaki, the Taranaki Hospital Board presented Mi.ss B. A Campbell with a cheque for £2OO on the occasion of her retirement from the position of matron of the New Plymouth Hospital.
