WOMEN’S DIVISION
SOUTHBURN BRANCH The October meeting of the Southburn Women’s Division was held in the school, Mrs Murray presiding. The president gave a report of the last executive meeting in Timaru. It was decided to send a donation to the community chest. During the afternoon readings were given by Mrs J. Chamberlain and Mrs A. Lambourne, and a recitation by Mrs P. Murray. Guessing competitions arranged by Mesdames N. Bell, A. Ward and A. Kinross were won by Mrs Rupert Parry, Miss Myra Evans and Mrs A. Ward. The monthly competitions resulted as follows:—Senior: Flower, Mrs H. Evans 1, Mrs N. Bell 2, Mrs J. Chamberlain 3. Primroses, Mrs J. Chamberlain 1. Apron, Mrs Rupert Parry 1, Mrs A. Kinross 2. Mrs J. Chamberlain 3. Junior: Flower, Miss M. Ward 1, Miss M. Evans 2. Primroses: Miss M Evans 1.
