ANOTHER SHANGHAI STRIKE

The pro-Wang-Ching-Wei Labour organisation succeeded through kidnapping and terrorisation in calling out all Chinese labour in French concessions and public utility companies. The result Is that buses and trams are again off the roads, while water, electricity and gas services are being run on a skeleton basis with temporary German and Russian refugees and volunteers. The American Consul-General has officially circularised all non-essential American residents to evacuate at the first available opportunity.
