CHEERS FOR SOVIET AMBASSADOR
Visit To East End Shelter United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received October 13, 6.30 pm.) LONDON, October 12. The Soviet Ambassador (M. Maisky) and Mrs Maisky toured a number of London shelters last night at the invitation of Lord Halifax. They were accompanied by Admiral Sir Edward Evans. A crowd in a big shelter in the East End recognised and loudly cheered M. Maisky.
