Mr A. J. Heighway, formerly managing director of National Magazines, Limited, Wellington, has been appointed managing editor of World’s Press News, London.
Mr J. J. W. Pollard has joined the staff of the Director of Publicity. Mr Pollard, who is director of the South Island Travel Association, has been granted leave of absence by his association for the duration of the war.
Mr W. Parsonage, who has been Inspector of coal mines at Greymouth for the last four years, has been appointed superintendent of Glen Afton Collieries, Waikato. He will take up his new appointment in the New Year. Mr Parsonage was a mine manager on the West Coast for 21 years before his appointment as an Inspector.
