The Railway Department advertises in this issue particulars of passenger trains between Christchurch and Timaru on Sunday, August 18, August 25 and September 1, in connection with the school vacation. The Railways Department advertises in this issue the running of an excursion from Dunedin to Timaru on Sunday, August 25. To-night is the ever-popular Scottish Society’s dance in the Scottish Hall. An excellent evening’s * entertainment is assured. Morton and Co.. Ltd. advertise a sale by auction of property and household furniture on account trustees in the estate of the late Isabella Segar. The sale will be held at 33 LeCren Street on Tuesday next, August 20. Further particulars are in the auction columns.
