FAIRVIEW SKELETON

Deformed Left Foot Identity Not Established Details in regard to the adult male skeleton which was found on August 8 partially concealed in gorse on the property of Mr John Courtney. Fairview, have become more complete, following further investigation by the Timaru police, but so far identity has not been established. A “Timaru Herald" reporter was informed yesterday that the skeleton was that of a male of between 55 and 70 years of age, who had been sft sSin in height. The man had been wearing a blue worsted suit with a reddish pin point stripe. He had also worn a reddish brown three-quarter length overcoat, as was the fashion some years ago, and a grey felt hat. The man had a deformed left foot, which probably accounted for the fact the he wore a pair of boots two sizes too large for him.
