PEACE TIME CAMPAIGN

PLANS BEING DRAWN UP (From Our Own Correspondent) LONDON, July 6. One effect of the war has been to reduce the amount of rheumatism in Britain, according to disclosures made this week by Sir Frank Fox, secretary of the Empire Rheumatism Council, at the opening of a new bath section at the St. John Clinic, Pimlico, London. This magnificently equipped research clinic covers every form of treatment of rheumatic fever, from bee stings and boiling oil to wireless rays and gold compound injections. Sir Frank spoke with enthusiasm of the council’s plans now being drawn up for the great post-war campaign against rheumatism. In the meantime, he said, the council are lending their advice to the Admiralty, and the Air Force, and have offered their services to the War Office.
