WOMEN’S DIVISION
SOUTHBURN BRANCH There was a fair attendance of members at the June meeting of the Southburn Women’s Division, presided over by Mrs Murray. Members were unanimous that the conference should be cancelled A demonstration of Italian quilting was given by Miss Cairns. During the social period competitions arranged by Mesdames Bell and Hill, were won by Mesdames Chamberlain and Kinross. The monthly competitions resulted as follows: Senior flower, Mrs A. Ward 1. Mrs J. Chamberlain 2, Mrs N. Bell Jam tarts, Mrs P. Murray 1, Mrs A. Ward 2. Knitted hot water bag cover' Mrs H. Evans 1, Mrs C. Ward 2, Mrs a’ Kinross 3. Juniors, flower. Miss M Evans 1, Miss M. Ward 2. Knitted hot water bag cover. Miss M. Evans 1 Miss D. Bell 2, Miss W. Bell 3.
