HARRIERS
PRESBYTERIAN CLUB The Presbyterian Club held its novice race from the residence of Mr and Mrs McKirdy, Otipua Road, over a five mile course, covering the Scenic Reserve and Gleniti district. On behalf of the runners, Mr J. Strachan thanked the host and hostess for a most enjoyable afternoon. The placings w’ere:—S. England I N. Hardie 2. D. Ferguson 3. Fastest times, J. Williams 1, S. England 2, D. Stuart 3. Anglican Club The weekly run of the Timaru Anglican Harrier Club was held from the home of Mrs C. J. Williams, Sealy Street. Four teams headed by the club officials competed in a race over a course of five miles in the Pages Road district. Individual placings were as follows:—J. Donaldson and K. Ramsay 1, J. McKim 3, E. Hassall 4. B. Best 5, J. Wigley 6. The teams’ race resulted—Secretary 1, Captain 2, Vice-captain 3, Treasurer 4.
