SMASH AND GRAB
AN AUCKLAND RAID By Telegraph —Pres? Association AUCKLAND. June 8. There was a smash and grab raid early this morning in Upper Queen Street, when a thief made two holes with a glass cutter in the plateglass window of the British Loan Company, Pawnbrokers, Ltd., and stole a quantity of rings and other jewellery from the shelves. A passing pedestrian noticed the broken window and informed the police.
