Denis, 9.0 (McMenamin, 1 Diogenes, 7.1 (Thomson) 2 St. Constant, 9.7 (Cook) 3 Thirteen started. Won by half a neck; half a neck between second and third. Time lmin 13secs. WARWICK FEBRUARY HANDICAP Of £350; li miles. Bramel, 8.7 (Munro) t Tusculum. 7.0 (Thompson) .. .. i Hedonic, 8.3 (James) 3 Eight started. Won by two and a half lengths. Time 2min s'l.secs. During the running of the Ingleburn Nursery Handicap the apprentice jockey W. Lappin. aged 18, who was second in last year's winning jockeys’ list, was thrown from his mount under a bunched field and received head injuries from which he died later. At the Williamstown races the principal results were:— G. F. ORR STAKES High Caste (E. Bartie) 1 Manrico (A. Sinclair) 2 Ajax (H. Badger) 3 All started. Ajax was last leaving the barrier but ran up to second place between Manrico and High Caste, who made a great run nearing the post and won by half a head, with Ajax half a neck away third. Time lmin 23isecs —a course record. WYNDHAM HANDICAP Bankshaw, 7.10 (Mornement) .... 1 Royal Jubilee, 8.9 (Hall) 2 Gladstone, 7.4 (Purtell) 3 Eleven started. Won by a head, half a neck between second and third. Time 2min 4Ssecs. BOMBAY CLASSIC WIN FOR INDIAN RULER United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received February 11, 6.30 p.m.) BOMBAY. February 10. Steel Helmet, owned by the Maharaja of Kashmir, won the Eclipse Stakes by a short head.
