SUCCESSFUL FLIGHT
Five French Airmen Decorated United Press Association—By Electric Te 1 egraph—Copyright LONDON. February 9. Five French airmen have been awarded the Croix de Guerre, with palms, for a successful reconnaissance flight carried out over Germany under great difficulties. The flight was made at night, but over the Rhine the airmen were subjected to heavy anti-aircraft fire, and were over what they described as a veritable nest of flares and batteries. They carried out their job over a railway and returned to their base unharmed, but with their machines riddled with bullets and shrapnel.
