The Mayor of New York (Mr F. H. La Guardia) whose name, according to a cable message has surprisingly entered the Illinois Republican presidential primaries opposing Mr Thomas A. Dewey and Mr Hamilton Fish. Mr La Guardia later repudiated the entry made on his behalf for the Illinois primaries.
