TROTTING CARNIVAL AT PERTH

INTER-DOMINION MEETING

The Inter-Dominion Trotting Cham • pionship carnival commenced last night when three divisions were run over a mile. Results:—

First Division—Main Derby (Victoria) 12yds bhd 1. Ruling' Glove (Western Australia) scr 2, Logan Derby (Tasmania) 36yds bhd, 3.

Ten started. Icevus (New Zealand' was a close fourth. Won by a foot, three yards between second and third. Time—2min 7Ssec.

Logan Derby lowered the State record for a mile by 3lsec. Five contestants beat the previous record.

Second Division.—Globe Dorell (Tasmania) scr 1, Radiant Walla (New' South Wales) scr 2, Evicus (Tasmania) 12yds bhd 3.

Ten started. Won by a yard, two yards between second and third. The winner's time was 2min llsec. The favourite, Grand Mogul (New Zealand) broke up when coming to the last lap as he was just beginning his run.

Third Division.—Uenuku (New Zealand) scr 1. Moreica (Western Australia) scr 2, Our Globe (Tasmania) 12yds bhd 3.

Ten started. Uenuku won. hard held, by five yards. Nine yards separated the next two. Supertax (New Zealand) was a close fifth. The winner's time was 2min Bsec.

Supertax won the stake tor the horse registering the fastest time.
