The high-har.ded action which Germany takes against neutral shipping in th: Baltic is well illustrated by her attitude towards detained Estonian and Latvian vessels. It is reported that Estonia intends sending a delegation to Berlin to discuss the detention in German ports of 19 of her vessels, and according to reliable information, owners of Latvian vessel, seized while trading with neutral countries have beer, compelled to sell their cargoes to Germany, which thus has been able to secure certain badly needed war materials.
