PRESS ATTACK ON RUMANIA

Hungary’s View of Entente

No Change In Policy

United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright

(Received February 7, 7.55 p.m.) BUDAPEST, February 7.

The newspaper “Pesterlloyd” prints a Government inspired attack against Rumania and the Balkan conference. This is not regarded as portending a change in Hungarian foreign policy. It is stated that Hungary never favoured a Balkan Danube Bloc because the greater Powers could misinterpret it as an offensive measure. Hungary could not be expected to join powers, one of which adopted a provocative policy. The Prime Minister of Greece (General Metaxas) declared that even ■the Balkan countries outside the Entente approve of the attitude of member States. Bulgaria can be considered an adherent to the peace group, assuring tranquillity throughout the Balkans.
