ROAD FATALITY
CHARGE OF NEGLIGENCE By Telegraph-Press Association AUCKLAND. January 22. A collision on the Mount Wellington highway, Ellerslie, in October last year, which resulted in the deaths of the champion woman athlete, Doreen Lumley, and her twin sister, Bernice, aged 18, had a sequel in the Magistrate’s Court before Mr J. Morling, S.M. A motor mechanic, Randolph Sharp aged 20, driver of the car in which the sisters were passengers, was charged with negligent driving, thereby causing death. He was committed for trial.
