GERALDINE DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB

SCORES IMPROVE AT THIRD SHOOT A distinct improvement in shooting is accounted for in the third official shoot of the Geraldine Defence Rifle Club held on the range at “Waitui” on Saturday. New members are now beginning to understand the conditions which are faced in target shooting and Saturday’s conditions were rather difficult at times owing to the changing light. A slight wind blowing from the left gave little trouble. Results of the shoot which took mounds with seven counting shots and place from the 200 yard and 300 yard a possible of 35 in each shoot are as follows:

BOROUGH RATES Only £BO has been paid in rates to the Geraldine Borough Council this year to date out of a total of £3453/14'8 levied.
