£240 LOST IN WAGES

FOXTON FLAX EMPLOYEES By Telegraph—Press Association FOXTON, January 17. Consequent on the failure of a deputation of workers to come to an arrangement with the management to reinstate the five workers recently dismissed through their non-attendance, a further stop-work meeting of flax and textile workers was held yesterday, when, by an overwhelming majority, it was decided to continue work. Last week's hold-up cost the workers £240 in wages and necessitated the replacing by importation from Calcutta of the lost output at a cost to the country in sterling exchange of approximately £9OO in New Zealand currency.
