Launch Capsizes In
Heavy Sea

The most serious drowning tragedy of the season occurred at Inverloch yesterday, when a 30ft launch capsized at the bar entrance to Anderson’s Inlet, a man, his wife and two sons losing their lives. The victims were Mr and Mrs Frongerup, and their two boys, aged 12 and 10. of Wonthaggi. The family travelled to Inverloch from Melbourne, a voyage of about 100 miles, mostly in the open sea. during the holidays, and were returning by easy stages. They had travelled today 33 miles on their last stage when the tragedy occurred. A heavy sea was running at the time. Inverloch is the nearest port to Wonthaggi, which is about seven miles away by road. Mr Frongerup. aged 65. was formerly Mayor of Wonthaggi.
